The work
Archangel Michael: strength, light and protection
A contemporary interpretation of a classical figure, made and painted by hand on ceramic.
Archangel Michael
A figure of strength and protection
For centuries Archangel Michael has been depicted as a symbol of strength, protection and victory over evil. In this piece the figure becomes the centre of a luminous composition in which blue, gold and Mediterranean tones accompany the archangel’s gesture.
The plate is painted by hand and every detail is part of a unique execution, in which iconographic tradition meets the decorative language of ceramics.
A one-of-a-kind piece by Franco Cipolletti in which ceramics, light and the symbol of Archangel Michael merge into a work made to accompany spaces and people for many years.
